The House of Suntory has announced a collaboration with Harrods to launch the limited-edition Hibiki Japanese Harmony Harrods 175th Anniversary Edition. To commemorate Harrods‘ 175th anniversary, 175 individually numbered bottles will be released, available exclusively at Harrods.

Harrods has long been a destination for global luxury items, including The House of Suntory’s whisky collection. The luxury department store, located just south of Hyde Park in London, was founded by Charles Henry Harrod in 1834 and initially operated as a grocery store and tea merchant. The store moved to its Knightsbridge location in 1849, hence the celebration of this anniversary.

Hibiki whisky, a blend from Suntory’s Yamazaki, Hakushu, and Chita distilleries, is a notable part of the luxury collection of goods at Harrods. This new collaboration celebrates the refined and timeless luxury of both Harrods and HIbiki.

Nobuyuki Akiyama, Managing Director of The House of Suntory, highlighted the shared vision of both companies’ founders: “Shinjiro Torii introduced whisky to Japan, sharing his creation with the world. Charles Henry Harrod brought a variety of global products to London, creating a unique shopping experience.”

The limited-edition bottle features artwork that combines Harrods’ heritage with Suntory’s luxury branding. The design includes a peacock, a motif from Harrods’ food halls since the 1900s, and a tealeaf, representing Harrods’ origins as a tea merchant in 1849. The packaging also includes Harrods’ motto, “Omnia Omnibus Ubique,” meaning “All Things for All People Everywhere.”

AndrĂ© Lewis, Head of Buying for Food, Wine & Spirits at Harrods, said: “This exclusive release combines the craftsmanship of Suntory whisky with the heritage of Harrods. The Hibiki Japanese Harmony is a fitting tribute to our legacy, reflecting our commitment to excellence.”

Hibiki Japanese Harmony Whisky offers a blend of lychee, rosemary, and sandalwood on the nose, with a palate of honey-like sweetness, candied orange peel, and white chocolate, and a subtle finish with hints of Mizunara oak.

The Hibiki Japanese Harmony Harrods 175th Anniversary Edition will be available exclusively at Harrods for ÂŁ255 (43% ABV, 70cl).
