New York’s quintessential Irish bar, The Dead Rabbit, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this month, and they have celebrations planned for days with partnerships with famed Irish whiskeys.

First off, the Decade of The Dead Rabbit celebrations begin with the introduction of a special anniversary cocktail menu, available throughout the month of February. The Dead Rabbit team plans for new, limited-edition commemorative items available to purchase through their online store. In addition, there will be 10 days of events that run from Feb. 3rd to the 12th.

In all, the bar will host eight musicians, five bartenders from Dublin, two comedians, two whiskey tastings, and two Guinness masterclasses.

Ten Days To Celebrate 10 Years of The Dead Rabbit

Here is everything you can expect from The Dead Rabbit’s 10-day festivities.

Feb. 3rd – Day 1 – Live music – Ailbhe Reddy

Irish musician Ailbhe Reddy will perform at The Dead Rabbit, in partnership with Roe & Co. Irish Whiskey.
In the Taproom Extension from 8-9 p.m.

Feb. 4th – Day 2 – Comedy – Shane Todd and Katie Boyle

Irish comedian Shane Todd will take the reins with support from Kildare’s Katie Boyle for an intimate gig on the third floor. Tickets include Irish Coffees or a Punch, in partnership with Tullamore D.E.W.

Feb. 5th – Day 3 – Live music – Lunasa

Eight hours of live music, so whether having an Irish breakfast, a Sunday roast, a pint of plain or all three, music will be playing.

Feb. 6th – Day 4 – Stories and Sips Irish whiskey tasting

Director of Irish Whiskey Mark McLaughlin organized a once-in-a-lifetime Spirits of Ireland event with Stories & Sips Whiskey Club founder Barry Chandler. A tasting of six ultra-exclusive whiskeys will be led by Mark, Barry, and special guest Midleton’s Micro Distillery Head Distiller Eva O’Doherty. Alongside the tasting, tickets include bar snacks, cocktails, a book to take home, and a limited edition tote bag.

Feb. 7th – Day 5 – Spirits of Ireland X Bar 1661

In an exclusive Spirits of Ireland experience, Director of Irish Whiskey Mark McLaughlin and The Dead Rabbit founder Jack McGarry will be joined by Dave Mulligan of Ireland’s Bar 1661 for an exploration of new and exciting Irish spirits. Alongside the tasting, there will be a discussion on how to champion favorite independent producers in innovative ways. This is all about respecting Irish heritage, while also looking ahead to the future. Tickets include bar snacks, cocktails, a book to take home, and a limited edition tote bag.

Feb. 7th – Day 5 – Bar 1661 Parlor takeover

Voted Ireland’s Bar of The Year 2022, the team from Dublin’s Bar 1661 will be taking over The Dead Rabbit Parlor. From Feb. 7th-10th you can enjoy a menu of their award-winning cocktails including their famous Belfast Coffee. This is Bar 1661’s first-ever U.S. pop-up.

Feb. 8th – Day 6 – Live music – Soak

Critically acclaimed Derry songwriter SOAK released their debut LP in 2015 to critical acclaim.
One of the Mercury Prize’s youngest-ever nominees, they’ve earned praise from The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The New Yorker, The Guardian, NME, and more. And they’ve won the Choice Music Prize for Album of the Year, the Northern Irish Music Prize, and the European Border Breaker Award. For one night only, enjoy one of Ireland’s most talented and exciting emerging artists.

Feb. 10th – Day 8 – Masterclass – Guinness Sessions

Plan for two Guinness sessions in the Occasional Room featuring everything to know about the black stuff, and more. Guests will enjoy a masterclass from our Aidan Bowie and the Guinness team, Irish Coffees, Black Velvets, paired bar snacks, and a $100 bar tab for the best pint.

Feb. 11th – Day 9 – Invite only 10th Anniversary Party

The tribute to a vibrant, modern Ireland, and all those who make it so. Because the Emerald Isle doesn’t just deserve to be on a global stage. RSVPs are essential.

Feb. 12th – Day 10 – Live music – Foy Vance

Live music from Dani Larkin (at 2 p.m.) and acclaimed Irish songwriter Foy Vance (3 p.m.) with evening sessions courtesy of Dead Rabbit stalwarts Lunasa (6 p.m.), in partnership with Bushmills Irish Whiskey.
