Those behind this believe the spirits category is ripe for such packaging as well, and recently have introduced a range of boxed spirits that includes an aged whiskey.
As this is a boxed whiskey (not sure how I feel as I type those two words together), the container hosting this spirit lacks your traditional pour bottle design. You instead have what’s said to be whiskey on tap, meaning you apparently pop out a special little tap built into the 1.75 liter box and pour your whiskey from it into your glass. This box, according to Esquire, is said to be both portable and shatterproof.
