its Town Branch line up, which we first covered last year when a new rye whiskey debuted. Its main focus is bourbon, though, as is evident with recent word of the second batch of its Town Branch Single Barrel Bourbon.

The new single barrel expression of its bourbon first came to market earlier this year. At the time it was described as being drawn from barrels hand-selected by Town Branch master distiller Mark Coffman that had “strong vanilla and floral notes, and almost candy-like toffee notes.” About 150 bottles came from each of the first two barrels, pricing at around $70 each and clocking in at nearly 125 proof.

The latest go around, according to Alltech, again hovers around 125 proof and, like the earlier release, has Coffman’s signature on the bottle as well as the bottle number and selection date. It prices a little higher this time, however, coming in at around $80.

What’s of interesting note as well with the second batch release is Coffman apparently had a little help in choosing what went into bottle. One Sean Dolle, a “bourbon enthusiast” from Louisville, was so enamored with the first bottling he apparently scooped up a whole bunch of them. He was then back when word of the next selection was about to be chosen, and actually got the honor of working with the distiller on it:

Town Branch Single Barrel Bourbon, should you want a bottle of it, is on sale exclusively at the Town Branch Distillery Visitor Center in Lexington.
