The new Ranger Creek Cask Strength .36 Straight Bourbon, according to those behind it, is described as a “bold and unique expression with Texas terroir.” Bottled at a healthy 127.2 proof, it is drawn from Texas corn that’s milled, sour-mashed, fermented, double distilled and aged in San Antonio, where the distillery is located.

“At 127.2 proof,” said Ranger Creek distiller Josh Gardner in a prepared statement, “this is Texas bourbon in all its grandeur. With hints of toffee, cinnamon, caramel, and crème brûlée, this is a big and bold expression straight out of the barrel.”
