Silent Brigade Distillery was founded in 2014 by Keith Bundy and John Brown, co-workers and friends for more than a decade. Holding jobs as a boilermaker and crane operator, respectively, they turned their passion for whiskey and skillsets into a business of designing and crafting copper stills at first for others. After doing a few of these, they then proceeded to open the distillery, with their own 305-gallon copper pot still.
The distillery, operating out of a visitor friendly facility in the city of Paducah that includes a full-service bar, offers several varieties of flavored moonshine, including apple pie, peach, blackberry, chocolate coconut and piña colada, as well as the LBL recipes of apple sin and original 1950s style moonshine. Plans for a bourbon are underway and will be released when aged.
