The multi-platinum band Whiskey Myers is known for connecting with fans through a variety of passion projects. And you can add creating their own whiskey line to that list.

A statement from the whiskey maker noted that their newest project, Uncle Chicken’s Sippin’ Whiskey, is a straight bourbon whiskey that remains true to the band’s musical philosophy of refusing to be confined by genre.

In a prepared statement, Whiskey Myers guitarist John Jeffers explained that, “Uncle Chicken’s stays true to that notion. We didn’t want to create just another mundane bourbon … Uncle Chicken’s embodies that renegade spirit.”

For this new offering, Whiskey Myers partnered with Bespoken, the craft whiskey maker known for innovation, and has tested more than 5,000 unique whiskey variations.

Peter Iglesias, CEO of Bespoken, said, “Uncle Chicken’s Sippin’ Whiskey encapsulates the untamed essence of Whiskey Myers and their relentless pursuit of breaking boundaries. This release expands the possibilities of what a whiskey can be, inviting enthusiasts on an exhilarating journey with every sip.”

What can this whiskey be? Uncle Chicken’s Sippin’ Whiskey clocks in at 47% ABV and is available online for a suggested price of $59.99 for a 750ml bottle.

The distiller’s notes show that on the nose, the whiskey features aromas of butterscotch and savory vanilla, with tastes of black pepper on the tongue. Caramel and roasted almond notes finish off the drink.

And for a bit of reference, since coming on the scene in 2007, Whiskey Myers has performed more than 2,500 live shows. They’ve placed number one on the country and folk charts, and have sold more than 1.75 million albums, with more than 2.4 billion streams.
