Chicago’s Judson & Moore Distillery recently opened its facility to the public, featuring a bar and tasting room, a stocked shop, live music, and production tours.

Located in the city’s Rockwell on the River complex, the family-run distillery started life in 2018 founded by Judson Bergman, his daughter Elise Bergman, and her husband Collin Moore.

In a prepared statement, Elise Bergman, one of the family owners, explained that Judson & Moore whiskeys come from  Midwestern grains using Lake Michigan water. The new-make spirit is then aged in Minnesota white oak barrels.
