New Pendleton Whisky Bottling Honors Military Veterans

Pendleton Whisky is a relatively popular Canadian whisky imported to the US by Oregon-based Hood River Distillers. The whisky, cut with “glacier-fed spring water from Oregon’s Mt. Hood” before being bottled at 80 proof, was created in honor of the Pendleton Round-Up, a yearly Pacific Northwest rodeo. Now and again special bottlings of this whiskey are released to the public, such as the upcoming Wrangler National Patriot edition.

The new Pendleton Whisky Wrangler National Patriot edition is a limited edition release, with a portion of the proceeds from the sale of each bottle being donated to the Wrangler National Patriot program. This program, founded in 2009, “is designed to raise awareness and funds for wounded or fallen American military veterans and their families by uniting the rodeo and western communities in fundraising efforts.”

A special emblem, as well as a dog tag, will be among the features which distinguish this bottle from regular Pendleton Whisky. Plans call for the bottling to be available in May at a price of around $27 a bottle.
