Jim Beam American Stillhouse Lights Up With 3D Holiday Display

The Jim Beam American Stillhouse, where fans of this bourbon brand travel to in Kentucky to witness the development of this popular whiskey, has a little extra something planned for visitors this holiday season. Over the next week it will be hosting a massive, 3-D holiday display that’s said to be the spirits industry’s first use of 3D projection mapping technology.

Stretched across a nine story, 3-D canvas, the presentation uses what’s described by Beam as “3-D mapping technology, lighting, sound, shadows and animation to showcase the Jim Beam legacy.” What this amounts to projected on the screen against a historic, more than 24,000 barrel rackhouse is “a carefully choreographed, bourbon-inspired holiday gift that lights up the bourbon’s flagship distillery.”

“When I heard we were going to go big for the holidays, I wasn’t really sure what it meant,” said seventh generation Jim Beam master distiller Fred Noe in a statement. “Well this light show is pretty darn big. Jim Beam and our fans around the world have a new holiday tradition to look forward to.”

The special bourbon illustration event will happen at the Stillhouse 18, 19, 21, 22 and 23, from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. EST. As it is the holidays, there will be a variety of seasonal activities going on as well such as live ice sculpting, holiday carolers and fresh-pressed apple cider. Those of an adult drinking age will also be able to enjoy specially crafted cocktails from Jim Beam whiskey products.
