The Dalmore Debuts 2015 Distillery Whisky Exclusive

Dalmore Distillery Exclusive 2015Scotland’s Dalmore distillery, normally known for putting out some rather expensive Scotch, is back in the news with word of the 2015 version of its popular Distillery Exclusive bottling. As you can guess, it is available only at this whisky outfit’s location on the shore of the Cromarty Firth in the Highlands region.

The Dalmore Distillery Exclusive 2015 whisky is a 48% ABV expression that was hand selected by master distiller Richard Paterson and “a small and highly skilled team of distillery craftsmen” from whisky aging in a collection of Port, Moscatel and Madeira casks. These were then blended together in first fill bourbon barrels to create the final release.

This Scotch is limited to just 450 individually numbered bottles at the distillery visitors center, each pricing at £150, or around $230 USD.

“The Dalmore Distillery Exclusive 2015 is a stunning whisky,” said Paterson in a statement. “Our artisanal approach to whisky making bestows this bottling with a bold, rich, sweet amber gold colour with aromas of  caramelised orange, forest fruits and marzipan, and on the palate macerated plums, almonds and pecans.”
