Sullivans Cove Readies New Batch Of Its Australian French Oak Whisky

It is often the case when a whiskey is declared world’s best that it becomes a hard commodity to come by on the open market. One of those falling into this category is the French Oak bottling from Sullivans Cove out of Australia. It looks like a new batch of this award winning whisky is about to be released though to eagerly awaiting fans.

The Sullivans Cove French Oak whisky hit the high mark of recognition when it was voted lasted year in the World Whisky Awards as best single malt, beating out the usual Japanese and Scotch entries that typically dominate the category. It more recently was named best Australian single malt, and over its history has picked up a ton of medals at other spirits competitions as well.

Pricing at $350 AUD (around $275 USD), this Australian whisky is usually a single cask release that’s aged in French oak port barrels for between 12 to 14 years.
