New Sherry Cask Finished Bourbon Surfaces In Minnesota

crooked-lostlakeCrooked Water Spirits from Minnesota, back in October, debuted a port barrel finished bourbon which was apparently popular enough to sell out at retail stores which carried it. Those who missed out will now get their chance again, only this time the whiskey brand has unveiled a bourbon that’s been sherry cask finished instead.

The new Crooked Water Lost Lake Sherry Cask Finish bourbon is described as being finished in 30 year old Spanish Olorosso sherry casks. It is furthermore, according to those behind it, “characterized by its rich color aroma and flavor” and “soft and smooth with enticing hints of sherry.”

Bottled at 750 ml and 45% ABV, the single barrel Lost Lake offering looks to be another intriguing spin on special cask finished bourbons. It is available online for sale in a few places already, pricing between $55 and $60 a bottle.
