Here’s An Awesome Handcrafted Leather Case For Your Prized Bottle Of Bourbon

Great handcrafted whiskey is worthy of being carried around in a quality, handcrafted case. It is with this belief that I turn you on to Walnut Studiolo, a leather studio here in Portland, Oregon, where The Whiskey Wash is based, that focuses upon combining “modern design with old-world craft” in everything it hand-tools. One of it latest offerings is the Whiskey Case, pricing at $145.

The Walnut Studiolo Whiskey Case, as the name implies, can be used to hold a bottle of whiskey in elegant style. The leather liquor holder is capped with “sustainable cedarwood ends” to help protect what’s inside, along with a strong snap to make sure the case remains closed until you reach your destination.

A leather strap attached to the case makes for easier carrying, and included with it are two natural leather coasters to set some fancy whiskey glasses on. Walnut Studiolo said the Whiskey Case, as a whole, “is hand-stitched and hand-dyed using the finest USA-sourced vegetable-tanned leather.” It can hold most any whiskey bottle up to 12.25″ tall (~311 mm) and 3.375″ (~85 mm) in diameter.

The Whiskey Case, for a small extra fee, apparently can also be monogrammed. I’m envisioning one right now which says “The Whiskey Wash.” Hmmm…

Cask Fraud Addressed in Scottish Parliament

The potential impacts of cask investment fraud on the scotch whisky industry was discussed in the Scottish Parliament in April 2024, hopefully paving the way for more regulation within the industry.
